PROJECT INFORMATION
Previously housed in a dark, cramped storefront in south Minneapolis, the Washburn Center for Children is a 132-year-old nonprofit that serves children with mental illnesses, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. The nonprofit relocated to its new $24.5 million building in north Minneapolis, which features 3 stories and 56,000 square feet of space that supports its therapeutic work. Constructed of glass and steel, the building is light-filled and LEED Gold Certified
PROJECT SCOPE
MG McGrath Architectural Glass & Glazing fabricated and installed the building’s interior Oldcastle glass, exterior Viracon glass, and Tubelite storefront and curtainwall systems. MG McGrath also installed the Rogers automatic glass doors, Minneapolis Glass mirrors, and sandblasted silkscreen glass for privacy
