PROJECT INFORMATION

At the cutting edge when it opened, the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center has served the campus community exceptionally well for more than 45 years. The renovation and expansion project will fulfill the original vision of a “hub” where the fine arts intersect, insuring that Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center serves Macalester well into the 21st century. The project strengthens arts education and invites broader participation in the arts by the entire campus community.

PROJECT SCOPE

MG McGrath fabricated and installed approximately 29,000 square feet of material on the Performing Arts building at Macalester College, including both interior and exterior applications. Materials on the exterior included 21,000 square feet of .040 Flush Seam Panels in black anodized aluminum with varying reveals between two and eight inches, MG Composite Panels in a black anodized finish, and matching louvers.
