JABIL’s new innovation center is the first of a three-building, $67 million expansion project for the company’s corporate headquarters
PROJECT INFORMATION
JABIL is a global manufacturing solutions provider that provides its clients with comprehensive design, manufacturing, supply chain and product management services. The company announced plans to renovate and expand their corporate headquarter campus in St Petersburg Florida. The first part of this $67 million expansion project was the construction of a new innovation, science, and teaching building. This 40,000 square foot facility features five labs for the research and creation of new, cutting-edge products. The innovation center is the first of three new buildings on the corporate headquarters campus, and will be a workspace for about 100 employees
GLASS PROJECT SCOPE
On the interior, our glass & glazing team provided and installed 1,300 square feet of Wilson partitions and Wilson door frames with clear, tempered glass. The exterior glasswork includes 3,000 square feet of YKK AP aluminum storefront window and door systems with Oldcastle glass, a SunGuard low-E coating, and a SentryGlass interlayer. The exterior glass and glazing systems are hurricane impact rated, insulated, laminated, and meets the Florida Product Approval Process. Other miscellaneous glass on the project includes 60 custom restroom mirrors, and 300 square feet of tempered glass office walls and doors with a Solyx acid-etched distraction window film
