UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS TOMMIE NORTH RESIDENCE HALL
ST. PAUL, MN
The University of St. Thomas constructed a new residence hall that opened for the Fall 2020 semester as housing for first-year students
PROJECT INFORMATION
The University of St. Thomas is undergoing a multi-building construction project that includes renovating the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, adding an addition to the Iversen Center for Faith, and building two new residence halls. The old faculty residence hall and John Paul II residence halls have been torn down so two new ones can stand in their place. MG McGrath is currently working on the First Year Residence Hall building project with The Opus Group. The new residence hall will feature five stories and beds for 480 students. The expected completion date of the project is summer of 2020 and students will be able to live in the new residence hall for the Fall 2020 semester. The new 210,000 square foot first-year residence hall will include an underground parking structure for 115 cars and 170 bikes, two classrooms, dining areas, a food service kitchen, and a club room, and flex spaces for studying, lounging, and meetings
