SAGE GLASS HEADQUARTERS AND MANUFACTURING FACILITY

FAIRBAULT, MN

This Sage Glass plant is the largest, most advanced electrochromic plant in the world, capable of producing several million feet of dynamic glass every year

PROJECT INFORMATION:

SAGE decided to move its growing Sage Glass business to Minnesota and construct a new building to serve as the headquarters and manufacturing facility for its next generation of electrochromic glass products. Their glass has electrochromic properties meaning it can be electronically tinted or un-tinted. This technology is popular for energy efficiency, thermal & visual comfort, and achieving a consistent look in the glass without blinds or shades. This 320,000 square foot plant holds a LEED Gold certification and is the worlds largest & most advanced electrochromic glass plant in the world

PROJECT SCOPE:

For a bold exterior look, LHB Minneapolis Architects chose an Alucobond aluminum material prefinished with a smooth Spectra Ocean color. MG McGrath then fabricated the aluminum into our own H-Style Flat Seam wall panel system. 14,000 square feet of these panels were installed by MG McGrath on the exterior of the building. An additional 1,400 square feet of Bone White finished Reynobond composite panels were installed by MG McGrath at the entryways and balcony
