BAPTIST MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER

JACKSONVILLE, FL

The new 330,000 square foot freestanding building will increase Baptist MD Anderson’s capacity to deliver cutting edge cancer treatment

Baptist MD Anderson

PROJECT INFORMATION

Baptist Health and MD Anderson joined forces in 2015 to create a new joint cancer program in North Florida. These medical companies focus on advanced care, with MD Anderson owning the largest freestanding cancer center in the world. Supporting this collaboration, Baptist Health with MD Anderson chose DPR Construction, in partnership with Perry-McCall Construction, to build a nine-story cancer treatment facility across the street from the existing Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. The new 330,000 square foot freestanding building and associated 250,000 square foot parking structure will increase Baptist MD Anderson’s capacity to deliver cutting edge cancer treatment to those in the Jacksonville area and beyond. Designed by HKS/Freeman White, the project used an integrated design and construction approach where both teams worked in a co-located space for much of the project
