BAPTIST HEALTH BRENT LANE CAMPUS
PENSACOLA, FL
To accommodate their growing needs, Baptist Health purchased over 57 acres of land to build their new Brent Lane Medical Campus and expand medical services on the western Florida panhandle

PROJECT INFORMATION
Baptist Health Care’s new $650 million medical campus in Pensacola is northwest Florida’s largest and most expensive healthcare facility to date. The main hospital has over 260 beds spanning 10-stories. Offering advanced medical services to patients including cardiology, women’s health, imaging, oncology, and other multi-specialty health services. Next to the main hospital is the Bear Family Foundation Health Center. With over 178,000 square feet of space, Bear Health Center has over 160 exam rooms for a variety of outpatient services like sports medicine and orthopedics. The third building on campus is the 80,000 sqft Henderson Health Center. Half of this 4-story building will be used as a rehabilitation hospital, and the other half will be medical office space. Each of these buildings sits on 57 acres of land, leaving plenty of room for Baptist Health Care to expand in the future.
SURFACES PROJECT SCOPE
For the campus hospital and medical buildings, our team fabricated and installed 22 gauge prefinished steel panels that included 17,500 square feet of them for the wall cladding, and an additional 18,800 square feet of them at the penthouse roof enclosures. New 2,000 square foot and 3,000 square foot aluminum screen wall were also added with matching trim. The hospital also features over 7,000 square feet of beige and brown baguette-style terracotta panels. The last bit of metal paneling on the main hospital has over 27,000 square feet of aluminum composite (ACM) Vitrabond panels at the east and west framing areas, soffits, and canopies.
GLASS & GLAZING PROJECT SCOPE
Our team worked on two of the three buildings on this new Baptist Medical Campus with the bulk of the work being done on the main hospital. MG McGrath partnered with GATE Precast to provide and install a unitized facade system that utilized our glass & glazing systems together with their GateLite architectural precast concrete on the exterior facade of the new hospital. Floors 1-10 feature over 45,000 square feet of YKK’s 300 OG curtain wall system with Viracon glass, and 28,600 square feet of YKK’s YHW 60TU window wall system with Viracon glass. The systems are fully captured and hurricane impact rated. Additional glass work provided and installed by our team includes 7 leaf’s of aluminum framed, medium stile glass doors and 8 Stanley DuraStrom 3000 BP-Impact automatic sliding glass doors.
