BAKKEN MUSEUM
MINNEAPOLIS, MN
The BAKKEN Museum underwent extensive renovations to update the building and add more interactive exhibits for visitors
PROJECT INFORMATION
Inspired by medical technology and the famous work “Frankenstein”, Earl co-founded the medical company, Medtronic in 1949, and continued to spread his love of technology and helping others with the founding of the Bakken Museum in 1975. Earl’s goal was to create a unique space where visitors could immerse themselves in the exploration of science, technology, and the humanities. The museum is home to roughly 11,000 written scientific pieces and 2,000 scientific instruments, many of which relate to electricity, electromagnetism, and electrophysiology. The museum underwent some major changes and renovations to the lobby, main entrance, galleries, and classrooms which updated the museum and allow for newer and more interactive exhibits
