New Metal Roof Award From Metal Construction News

The 240-acre Viking Lakes campus has been a very large, multi-faceted project for not only the Vikings NFL Football Team, but for the state of Minnesota. One of the first structures you see when you enter the complex is this stunning canopy covering the entrance to TCO Stadium. This Canopy at Viking Lakes in Eagan Minnesota has just been announced as Metal Construction News’ winner for the 2019 Building and Roofing Award in the New Metal Roofs Category

The 120 by 90 foot canopy is made completely of metal and took just 8 weeks to fully clad. MG McGrath installed Centria standing seam roof panels, Reynobond composite panels, Alpine snowguards, stainless-steel gutters, and custom aluminum extrusions. The canopy was designed to stand-out while still looking like it belonged. The triangulation on the soffit of the canopy is bold, but simmilar patterning can be found all over the Viking Lakes campus including on TCO Performance Center and the Twin Cities Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic. A big thank you to Crawford Architects and Kraus-Anderson who helped make this stunning piece for the new complex.
