In celebration of the NACIA’s 10th annual Copper in Architecture awards series, the public selected the top copper building projects recognized by the program over the last 10 years. After nearly 15,000 online votes, the Kansas Statehouse was highlighted as the first of the 10 selected.
MG McGrath is very proud to have worked with the project team on the Kansas Statehouse’s copper roofing systems. Our team fabricated and installed nearly 70,000 square feet of 20-ounce natural smooth copper to replicate the historic roof, while preserving its authenticity. The copper roofing systems utilized 35,000 square feet of batten seam roof panels, and 31,000 square feet of double lock seam roof panels.
