SANDRIDGE ENERGY
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK
MG McGrath fabricated and installed 11,474 square feet of aluminum cladding to the sunshade structure
PROJECT INFORMATION
SandRidge Commons, a downtown Oklahoma City corporate and civic campus, now features a 4,600-square-foot canopy structure that shades its outdoor space. The 37-foot sunshade is designed to allow light to filter through perforations in the winter but still provide shade in the summer, based on the sun’s location. It is constructed of 1.5-inch steel plate sections and features a 50-foot cantilever, supported on two tapering triangular steel columns
PROJECT SCOPE
MG McGrath worked with Lingo Construction and Rogers Partners / Marvel Architects on the new canopy. Our team fabricated and installed 11,474 square feet of aluminum cladding to the SandRidge Commons sunshade structure. The canopy’s roof is made up of AMICO Apex 03A expanded aluminum, Soffit .25″ 5052 aluminum plate, built in 1.5″ x 2.5″ x 3/16″ triangle aluminum frames, and SS standoff clips, coated with a Class I clear anodized finish
