ORDWAY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
SAINT PAUL, MN
The new $35 million space has no shortcomings, creating a physically and acoustically intimate experience for musicians and their audiences
PROJECT INFORMATION
Over 30 years ago, when the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts was built in Downtown St. Paul’s Rice Park, budget constraints led to the building’s lacking of the acoustics required for great music production. After its recent expansion, the space now features a new 1,100-seat concert hall, new lobbies, new production space, and acoustical qualities of some of the most renowned musical halls in the world. While modern, the additions blend seamlessly with the original design on the interior and exterior. The new $35 million space has no shortcomings, creating a physically and acoustically intimate experience for musicians and their audiences
PROJECT SCOPE
Working with HGA Architects and the project team on the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts expansion, MG McGrath fabricated and installed the building’s custom natural copper wall paneling
