PROJECT INFORMATION

Northwestern College underwent construction on its new $24.5 million health and natural sciences center. The eco-friendly facility features 61,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, and faculty office space for the departments of biology, chemistry, and nursing

PROJECT SCOPE

MG McGrath installed glass and glazing systems on both the interior and exterior of the building. Much of the interior glass work was clear tempered glass, including 100 square feet of glass handrails, 1,371 square feet of glass walls, and 760 square feet of miscellaneous interior glass. On the exterior of the building, MG McGrath installed 12,622 square feet of insulated metal panels glazed into 1″ OA Solarban 90 glass. Additional exterior glass and glazing work done by MG McGrath includes the installation of Dark Bronze Anodized 451T Kawneer framing, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, 22 leafs of Kawneer heavy-duty doors, and Kawneer 1600 glazed aluminum curtain wall (captured and SSG)
