METRO TRANSIT PARKING RAMP
ROSEVILLE, MN
The new parking areas for Metro Transit’s Park & Ride program are easier, safer, and more convenient than ever
PROJECT INFORMATION:
To meet the demands of increased bus and train riders, Metro Transit completed construction on new parking ramps and expanded existing ones just north of the Twin Cities Metro area. These 6 new and expanded parking ramps added nearly 2,700 additional parking stalls for the Park & Ride transit program in Minnesota. Metro Transit focused not only on convenience and ease, but also on security with the installation of more than 600 Cree Luminaries at each parking ramp. These Luminaries light up the interior of the parking garages and the perimeters of the surface parking lots.
PROJECT SCOPE:
MG McGrath installed 17,400 square feet of Fabral Deep Rib IV Custom Anodized vertical metal siding over horizontal stainless steel furrings with custom embeds. The panels were designed to be “see-through” for security reasons. Because the ramps are frequented in the evenings, this type of facade worked perfectly. The panels were post-anodized to ensure corrosion resistance, even in the harsh and unpredictable weather of the Midwest.
