PROJECT INFORMATION
After a $5 million grant from the State of Minnesota, The MacPhail Center for Music constructed this new space in Minneapolis’ Mill District. This new location features 56,000 square feet of space that includes a performance venue, practice rooms, group classrooms, music therapy labs, an outdoor performance courtyard, a cafe, offices, and around 60 instructional studio spaces. Each area of the MacPhail Music Center has upgraded music technology, superior acoustics, and flexible performance spaces.
PROJECT SCOPE
Our team worked on the new MacPhail Center installing various glass & glazing systems. The main exterior walls include Kawneer’s 1600 Series Curtain Wall system with glazed in Viracon VE1-2M insulating glass. At the ground levels, our team also installed glass storefront systems and heavy-duty glass doors at the entrances. The last bit of work our team did was installing the impressive interior skylight from SkyCurtain’s daylighting solutions line.
