JUMER'S CASINO

ROCK ISLAND, IL

This Vegas-style gaming casino features a sleek aluminum facade that appears to change color with different light reflections and viewing angles

PROJECT INFORMATION:

The Jumer’s Casino was designed to bring Vegas-style gambling to the Midwest. This casino spreads out over 170,000 square feet for all kinds of gambling games including poker rooms, slots, table games, and video gaming machines. The whole project cost just over $151 million and connects the casino to a 100,000 square foot, 5-story hotel with 205 rooms.

PROJECT SCOPE:

MG McGrath provided and installed over 57,000 square feet of 4mm Alucobond aluminum composite material including 36,580 square feet finished in a Spectra Cupral, and 20,503 finished in a custom Texas Copper color. The Spectra Color Finishing System from Alucobond gave the casino’s facade a color-changing appearance. As light hits the metal facade, the colors reflected vary with the time of day, and the location of the viewer. The appearance of the building is different from every angle at every time of day and year.
