Kyle Gleason currently serves as the Director of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) at MG McGrath. He has over 30 years of experience in software development, software engineering, and information technology with several Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Computer Science, Technical Writing, & Business Administration. As the head of the VDC department, Kyle oversees all 3D modeling, facade designing, and architectural fabrication drawings for our building enclosure projects, and reports back to ensure constructibility. Kyle works with both internal and external project team members to help bridge the gap between traditional building system methods and BIM technology. He is in charge of our project tracking application and uses programs like Revit & AutoCAD to evaluate models and lead the virtual design and design-assist efforts of a project. Kyle collaborates closely with project managers, estimators, and field superintendents to ensure our Model-to-Fabrication process adheres to specification, is on schedule and feasible for both the Shop and Field. Scope documents are reviewed to make sure our work is clearly outlined, and that drafting efforts are coordinated with architects and contractors for quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
