Our prefabricated back pans are engineered to streamline how spandrel conditions are detailed, sourced, and installed across complex building envelope conditions. Each assembly arrives pre-fabricated with mineral wool insulation secured in place, eliminating on-site fabrication steps and reducing field labor. Whether used as a standalone solution or paired with MG McGrath’s infill and shadowbox offerings, Mcgrath’s back pans deliver consistency, quality, and installation efficiency.
INSULATED BACK PANS
CURTAIN WALL PRODUCT
QUALITY & CUSTOMIZATION
TAILORED PERFORMANCE

Our prefabricated back pans are manufactured to the exact dimensions of the opening, ensuring a predictable, accurate fit into curtainwall and window wall framing systems. Mineral wool insulation is installed and mechanically secured in McGrath’s controlled fabrication environment, providing the fire performance needed for UL or Intertek fire-stopping assemblies. System depth, attachment approach, material types (galvanized and aluminum) and insulation type can be tailored to meet specific project requirements. By sourcing our back pans alongside our infill panels, shadow boxes and other façade components, construction teams benefit from single source procurement that is all designed, drawn and fabricated in house. With our patented panel tracking app, every back pan is uniquely barcoded and tracked through the entire process.
