Blake Craig currently serves as Preconstruction Manager for MG McGrath. He holds a degree in Architectural Design and Estimating from Dunwoody College of Technology and joined MG McGrath in January of 2012 as an Estimator. As Preconstruction Manager, Blake is in charge of leading the strategy and planning for our projects before fabrication and installation begins.

He takes a proactive approach to a projects success by reviewing value engineering alternatives, schedule implications, and labor & material forecasting. Throughout the preconstruction stages of a project, Blake does his best to ensure the design intent is being honored while preemptively addressing challenges before they become a problem later in the construction phase. Blake’s role heavily centers around design assist and ensuring a smooth transition from Estimating to Project Managers. Preliminary engineering, performance criteria, scope/deliverable reviews, and project development all get passed through Blake. His experience with estimating makes him uniquely qualified to identify ways to streamline processes, and understand the importance of accurate submittals and constructability assessments.
