Project overview – The new 76,000-square-foot building will be twice as big as the existing facility for the Washburn Center, which provides mental health services for children. About one in five children need such services. Designed by DLR Group’s Minneapolis office and Minneapolis-based Lawal Scott Erickson Architects, the new building will include a training center, conference rooms, underground parking and an outdoor playground when it opens in November.
