The building blocks for success

Safety is #1

One of McGrath’s full-time safety managers is assigned to be on-site throughout every installation, overseeing everything from hazard analysis and PPE to emergency response to ensure every team member and trade partner goes home safe.

Trusted labor resources

Every McGrath project is led by veteran supervisors from HQ and supported by 150+ McGrath union employee travelers as well as being supplemented, when needed, by a national network of SMART and Glass & Glazing skilled union resources.

Training and communication

McGrath foremen hold daily site meetings to align the installation team on the day’s tasks, quality standards, and any issues to address.

Leadership, pre-construction, and product managers on-site

McGrath’s project managers, estimators, engineers, and fabrication leads stay actively engaged on-site — ensuring every phase meets stakeholder expectations and that field knowledge flows back into every part of the business.

Quality control and assurance

At McGrath, quality isn’t subjective — it’s a measurable standard built on consistency and zero defects. Every team member owns it, reinforced by a dedicated quality team, formal QA audits, and a culture grounded in Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma principles.

Digital factory and installation

McGrath runs on data. Combining Procore with McGrath’s proprietary Project Tracking Application (PTA), every material is barcoded and photo-documented from raw delivery through fabrication, shipping, and final installation — giving McGrath and the GC real-time visibility into exactly where the project stands, every day.

No surprises

McGrath gets ahead of closeout by running its own internal punch list long before the architect or GC ever walks the site. From final scope review to owner turnover — including warranty documentation, as-builts, and testing data — every detail is accounted for. A post-project review follows every job, because continuous improvement isn’t a process at McGrath. It’s in the DNA.
