The U of M HSEC building is located on the University of Minnesota’s East Bank Campus. The building features over 200,000 square feet of space in order to meet the state’s growing healthcare need and offer U of M students one of the most comprehensive inter-professional education facilities in the country. Improvements were also made to the existing Phillips-Wangensteen Building (PWB), which connects the Education Center to adjacent buildings that house most of the health sciences schools. Along with accessibility, mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades, the PWB and HSEC houses open study spaces, small group study rooms, break out spaces for team collaboration, classrooms ranging in size from 16-64 seats, a teaching visualization lab and faculty commons, computer work stations, library consultation rooms and more.

MG McGrath surfaces division will be providing and installing aluminum composite panels , custom aluminum column covers, perforated diffusers and fin tube enclosures with associated panel flashings and trims. We will also be installing a Pac-Clad panel system with associated flashings.

McGrath didn’t just show us what the next steps were, they took them with us. The project came out better than we imagined because they were involved.
