PROJECT INFORMATION

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Center is a treatment and recovery facility for teens/young adults and their families struggling with substance abuse/addiction and co-occuring mental health disorders. HBF offers specialized programs and services including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, animal-assisted programs, post-treatment planning, and family education & support. As the demand for care services increased, Hazelden Betty Ford embarked on a $30 million expansion and renovation of their Plymouth, MN facility which included an additional 32 beds, extended long-term care programs, women’s support services, indoor recreation spaces, and dedicated spaces for music/art therapy, family programs, and mental health services

SURFACES AND GLASS & GLAZING PROJECT SCOPE

MG McGrath worked with HGA Architects and Knutson Construction on this expansion project. Our team provided and installed 8,500 square feet of screw spline curtain wall glass systems with clear anodized aluminum framing for the exterior of the HBF expansion. Also provided and installed by our team was 800 square feet of pre-glazed Moduline windows in a matching framing finish, storefront doors, electronic access terrace doors, and exterior sun control devices. The interior of the the HBF facility included glass skylights, CR Laurence glass storefront walls, glass doors, and decorative art glass.  In addition to all of the glass & glazing installed, MG McGrath also fabricated and glazed in insulated metal facade panels for the exterior of the expansion
