PROJECT INFORMATION
RiverView Health is in the middle of a new $51 million construction project that will expand and consolidate their health services for patients. The new 80,000 square foot hospital and clinic replaces their old building and faces Red Lake River. The hospitals new “pod style” setup means that patients will have to walk a shorter distance if they have appointments with multiple departments, instead of having to go to three seperate locations like the past hospital was laid out. The close proximity of the pods also promotes better patient “handoffs” and faster communication. The new hospital features extra exam rooms, physician offices, procedure rooms, consultation rooms, labor and delivery rooms, a conference center, a gift shop, and collaboration/vital viewing rooms for doctors and nurses. Hospital staff have been an integral part of designing the hospital to ensure it exceeds the needs of the patients in every possible way, down to the smallest details like the number of electrical outlets and minimally invasive room designs

MG McGrath Architectural Glass & Glazing will be installing a number of glass and glazing systems for the new hospital/clinic including Oldcastle Building Envelope
