LEGACY FUND 1

ROCHESTER, MN

Legacy Fund 1 is now one of the tallest buildings in downtown Rochester with 20 stories of mixed-use space

PROJECT INFORMATION

Legacy Fund 1 (formerly referred to as Broadway at Center) is now one of the tallest buildings in downtown Rochester with 20 stories of mixed-use space. Just two blocks from the Mayo Clinic, this high-rise building includes a 264-room hotel, conference center, fitness center, pool, a wellness terrace, and street-level retail & office space – all connected to a seven-level parking structure

SURFACES PROJECT SCOPE

MG McGrath was contracted for nearly every part of the building’s exterior, including the metal and glass systems. Our surfaces team installed over 123,000 square feet of metal panels along with insulation, waterproofing, and louvers. The north side elevation of the building is clad with 28,001 square feet of .080″ aluminum Pure Freeform metal panels in three different custom stone shade finishes. The architect originally wanted stone for the north side exterior, but the same look was achieved in these metal panels at a considerably lower weight. The south, east, and west building elevations are clad with over 94,000 square feet of CMG .080″ aluminum metal panels. These CMG panels were given one of five different Linetec finishes including Grizzle Gray, Gray Mica, Deep Iron Ore, Warm Gray, and Grizzle Ore Mica

GLASS & GLAZING PROJECT SCOPE

MG McGrath was contracted for nearly every part of the building’s exterior, including the metal and glass systems. 40,000 square feet of glass and glazing systems were installed by MG McGrath at every level of the exterior of the building. These systems were primarily EFCO curtainwall and Viracon glass all done in a high-performance, custom finish
