MG McGrath Architectural Sheet, an award-winning leader in the architectural sheet metal industry, has been awarded the contract for the Mayo Clinic Square Project. The Minnesota Timberwolves, Lynx and the Mayo Clinic are teaming up in a reboot of the Block E redevelopment in downtown Minneapolis. The Mayo Clinic will open a 20,000 square foot medical facility and take over medical care for the NBA and WNBA franchises. The collaboration includes opening a Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center at 600 Hennepin, designating Mayo as the preferred medical provider for the teams, and utilizing the teams’ international reach to educate the public about numerous health and wellness topics. The project is expected to cost about $50 million and open in 2015.
MG McGrath will complete work on both the interior and the exterior of the building. On the interior of the project MG McGrath will furnish and install Perforated Soffit Panels and Perforated Wall Panels. On the exterior of the project MG McGrath will furnish and install Plate Wall, Flush Metal, and Composite Wall Panel Systems as well as GFRC Wall Cladding Panels, Metal Soffit Panels, Aluminum Perforated Plate Panel System and a Stone Panel Back Up.
