690 FOLSOM

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

The goal was to create a modern, innovative and artistic design with metal panels that laced together in a pattern and could be lit up in different colors

PROJECT INFORMATION

After purchasing what was then a vacant parking garage, Boston Properties began construction on 690 Folsom, transforming it into a restaurant and office complex. The goal for the renovation project was to create a modern, innovative and artistic design with metal panels that laced together in a pattern and could be lit up in different colors, changing seasonally and with special events. To achieve this look, nearly half of the previously concrete exterior walls are now clad in custom-cut aluminum skin with light-emitting diodes that allow the walls to glow with different colors

PROJECT SCOPE

MG McGrath worked with the 690 Folsom renovation team to help achieve the aesthetic, sustainability, and durability that was desired for the building, furnishing and installing 8,500 square feet of custom BMW Mineral White 3/8” Aluminum Panels, Stainless Steel Standoff Supports, and 1/8” Aluminum MG Flush Soffit Panels finished in Kynar paint
